Papa and Noni's Visit

Dad and Connie came to visit us this weekend. Emma LOVED the extra attention and all the many hugs and kisses. Here's Emma and Dad hanging out.

Both Dad and Connie came with me to Emma's Kindermusik class. Emma's playing pick-a-boo with the scarf.

"Check out my snaggle tooth, people!"

We had a mini birthday party for Emma.

I think Emma loves frosting more than her mom! Notice the naked baby in anticipation of the blue frosting stains. Shout out to Elizabeth for bringing the AWESOME blue, green, and orange cupcakes (and the extra tub of just-in-case-we-need-more frosting).

The bow

Emma has enough hair to finally hold a bow.

But even with all that newly created bow cuteness, Emma is still a woman on a mission..."I want that camera!!"

I am one and hear me roar!

Well I guess now that Emma has turned one, she has become an independent woman. When I went to take a picture of her cute new sweater (shout out to Peggy!), Emma instead decided that she needed the camera.

And when I didn't give it to her? You can figure out the rest....

And the grab...

It's my birthday!!

A new look for a new year for Emma! (actually, I was really just getting tired of seeing green...)

Emma's getting ready to p-a-r-t-y!

We were all geared up with party hats and all.

Even Dad wore one.

"I'm just so excited for all my gifts!"

"You mean I have to wait a whole other year before I have a birthday again?!"

Thanks to everyone who sent cards and gifts to help us celebrate Emma's first year. It has been quite a year and we feel so blessed to have her as our daughter. Just in case you forgot, this is how she started her little life one year ago. We are so grateful that we have moved on past that rough start. Love you all!

Emma and Annie

One of Emma's new favorite things to do is to roll over to Annie's cage...I mean home...and torment her. It's pretty funny.

"Hi loyal blog viewers! Thanks for being such a great fan base!"

Swinging in Sunday Clothes

You have to love Carolina weather with highs in the uppers 60s in the middle of winter...
