Girlfriends

I love how Emma now has little friends that she genuinely wants to play with. This is one of her girlfriends, Charlotte. Her mom and I met as antepartum patients up at UNC and have remained friends since then. These pictures were taken at a little outing to the mall on a rainy day.

Emma is talking so much! We love to hear what comes out of her mouth and her little thoughts...

A couple weeks ago, this is the conversation I heard between Tim and Emma.

Emma: I poop.
Tim: Did you poop?
Emma. No. Daddy poop.
Tim: No, Daddy didn't poop.
Emma: Desus poop? (Jesus)
Tim: Well, Jesus was a person so at one time he pooped, but I don't know if he poops anymore.

Here's another good conversation that happened while we were reading her Bible (see the picture on the left).
Emma: Desus? (pointing at Jesus)
Me: Yep, that's Jesus.
Emma: Papa? (pointing to John the Baptist and referring to my dad)
Me: No, that's John the Baptist.
Emma: No papa. Hair. (pointing to the locks of John) :)

I'm a cowgirl

Lauri, Tim's sister, gave Emma an adorable cowgirl outfit for her birthday. When Emma unwrapped it, she got so excited that she wanted it on RIGHT THEN without taking off her clothes. So of course, I obliged. Thus, the t-shirt was put on over two existing layers and the jeans went on under the dress. Layering is in, right?
